Name: Laura O’Malley

Job role: Nursery Manager

I have been a nursery nurse for over 10 years now and I have gained other qualifications and valuable experience during this time. I started working in Rockbourne Day Nursery in 2003 as member of staff in the Toddler Room. I then gained the role of manger in 2010. My roles and responsibilities is the daily running and administration of the nursery, adhering policies and procedures and compliance with the children act, health and safety legislation and within the guidelines of O.F.S.T.ED and the national standards ensuring that confidentiality is maintained at all times by staff and also parents. I ensure that staff are offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origins, gender, disabilities, culture or linguistic background. I supervise staff and students, conducting regular staff assessments and appraisals recognizing training needs, monitoring training and development teamwork.

Job Role: Nursery Cook

I have been employed at Rockbourne day nursery in Liverpool for the past 12 years. My job role is nursery cook which I enjoy very much. I also have my NVQ level 3 in children’s care, learning and development.

Name: Laura (Little Laura)

Job role:  Third in charge and based in preschool where I am Room leader. (care and learning co-ordinator)

When starting at Rockbourne in 2006 I was based in Pre-School where I trained and gained my level 2 and 3 in children’s care, learning and development. After a year or more working with the Pre-School I was then moved into the Baby Room where I was promoted as room leader. As third in charge I am always happy to help so please come and say hello.

Job role: Nursery Nurse based in the Baby Room.

I’ve been working at Rockbourne for almost 2 years now. I am a qualified NVQ level 2 nursery nurse. When starting at the nursery in 2010 I was based in the Toddler Room in which I worked in for 17 months. In January of this year I moved to the Baby Room, where I have been for just 7 months. I attend college once a week and I am near to completing my NVQ level 3 this August. During my time at Rockbourne I have completed various courses such as, first aid, safeguarding and health and safety.

Job role:Lucy is Room leader of 0-2 years

I have been working at Rockbourne Day Nursery for 5 years. I have a NVQ level 3 in children’s care, learning and development and I am working towards a team leading qualification. I enjoy working with babies and have done for past 2 years. I have attended various courses which include baby sign language, safe guarding and first aid.

Name: Emma

Job role: Room Leader of Toddler Room (Behaviour management)

I have worked at Rockbourne Day Nursery for 9 years. I have had experience in all rooms but I am based in the Toddler Room where I am Room Leader. Since my time at Rockbourne I have been on relevant course such as Behaviour Management, SIDS First Aid etc which have all helped with my experience.

Name: Michelle

Job role: Nursery Nurse based in Toddlers.

I have been at the nursery for 5 years and I have my NVQ level 3 in children’s care, learning and development. I started in the Toddler Room where I gained my level 2 before then moving onto working with the Pre-Toddler children where in that room I gained my level 3. I am now based in the Toddler Room.

Name: Thomas

Job role:  Nursery nurse based in Pre – school.

I have been working at Rockbourne for 3 years. I am currently finishing my qualification NVQ level 3 in children’s care, learning and development. I have had experience in the Pre-School Room and in Toddlers where I currently am placed now. I have attended course at my time here which include dental hygiene, first aid, behaviour management and SIDS.

Job role:Deputy manager based in the toddler room (SENCO Co-ordinator)

I have been at the nursery for 9 years and I have my NVQ level 4 in children’s care, learning and development. I have seen plenty of changes over the years but quality never changes. The hardest thing is to leave your child in someone elses care but the hard working staff put your mind at ease and show upmost care for your children. As Deputy Manager I am always happy to help so please come and say hello.

Job role: Nursery Nurse based in Pre-School

I have been at the nursery for 6 years and I have my NVQ level 3 in children’s care, learning and development. When starting at Rockbourne I was based in the Pre-Toddler Room where I then moved to Toddlers before then moving onto Pre-School I have had experience in all rooms within the nursery.

Name: Leanne

Job role: Nursery nurse based in Pre-school room

I have been working here for 4 years and have my NVQ 3 in children’s care, learning and development. I have had experience in all the rooms in the nursery and currently I am in Pre-school. I really enjoy this room as I get to watch the children grow up and get themselves ready for school. I have been on many courses which include baby sign language, dental hygiene and sounds and letters, all of which I have put into practice.
